Dr. Zafaranchi earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Louisville Kentucky and remained there to attend its renowned medical school where she graduated cum laude. She fulfilled her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Thereafter, she returned home to California to serve the Orange county community, Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology .

"Many women take an active role in their health care, and I take pride in being able to encourage my patients to do so. This gives me and my patient mutual responsibility, which will eventually lead to better medical decision making." Dr. Zafaranchi's view on patient care is one of partnership and team approach, where the patient plays an integral role in the decision making process. She believes that a well informed patient can add vastly to their plan of care.

Dr. Zafaranchi is a nature lover and incorporates this into her practice when plausible and desired by her patients in the form of natural preventions, Bio identical hormones, etc. She also embraces technology and utilizes minimally invasive procedures when possible. Dr. Zafaranchi is one of a few accomplished surgeons in this area who performs complicated minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures including total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

"I take pride in helping women transition through different stages of life, from teenage years to fertility through menopause. A great area of my interest is in the utilization of Bio identical hormones and natural therapies."

Dr. Zafaranchi is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) as well as Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, Golden Key national honor society, and AMA women's association. She has served as a member of Saddleback memorial hospital's ethics committee. Dr. Zafaranchi has been the recipient of the Sam Seeds Research award and the Espirit De Corps award in 2004.

Dr. Zafaranchi has been published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology on the topic of preterm labor (April 2006). She is currently a staff member at the West Hills and Northridge hospitals.

Dr. Zafaranchi resides in Calabasas, she enjoys practicing yoga, Bikrim yoga, Pilates and most importantly spending time with her family including her two boys, Zach and Kevin.
